November 19, 2022; 3:00pm; “Music for a While” with soprano Joan Kirchner

The Federated Church of Hyannis, 320 Main Street, Hyannis

Featuring songs and dances by Henry Purcell, corrente by Giovanni Battista Buonamente, songs from Claudio Monteverdi’s Scherzi Musicali, and cantatas by Georg Philipp Telemann and Antonio Caldara, these concerts will showcase Cape Cod’s premier soprano, Joan Kirchner, as accompanied by the instrumentalists of the Baroque ensemble Courante.

The Caldara cantata “Innocente cor mio” was transcribed and edited from manuscript by Molly Johnston (her pandemic project.)

Ms. Kirchner’s appearance is supported in part by a grant from the Falmouth Cultural Council., a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Thank you.
